Sampson, Diversity return for 'StreetDance 2'
Britain's Got Talent stars George Sampson, Diversity and Flawless will return for the StreetDance sequel.

Vertigo Films has assembled the same creative team that guided the first 3D dance film. Directors Max Giwa and Dania Pasquini will work from a script by Jane English and producers James Richardson and Allan Niblo are also on board, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Diversity star Ashley Banjo recently told DS that he would like to have a larger speaking role in StreetDance 2.

"I had a couple of lines this time, literally a couple, but I was happy with that. A good introduction to acting. But yeah, [more] acting would be good," he said.

StreetDance took in £12 million at the UK box office, outperforming the Jake Gyllenhaal-led Disney blockbuster Prince Of Persia.

Site news

Hello George fans! I thought I'd check in and let you all know whats going on with the site. First off, I've finished school now so I should be able to devote more time to running this site. Also, I plan on making a new layout but I haven't made any new layouts in months and I'm not so confident of my photoshop skills anymore :/. I'm gonna start playing around in photoshop and see what I can come up with.

I also plan to add more photos to the gallery, there are still parts of George's A2AA's dvd I need to cap & upload but never got around to it before. Also, if you have any suggestions, donations, questions, ideas, etc PLEASE TELL ME! It would be really useful to me to have your feedback.

I believe thats all for now :)

xoxo

StreetDance 'top Brit dance film'
StreetDance 3D has been declared "Britain's biggest ever dance movie", having taken £11 million in five weeks.

The film, which stars Britain's Got Talent dance stars George Sampson, Flawless and Diversity, is to be followed by a sequel.

The British film beat Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time at the box office in the UK, and is the first British film to be shot in 3D.

"The success of StreetDance 3D is staggering," said James Richardson, producer and co-owner of Vertigo Films.

"Beating the major studios in the opening week is one thing, beating all the great dance movies is another and now to be one of the most successful independent British films of all time is great for the UK."

StreetDance 2 anyone??

StreetDance 3D tops UK box office with record takings
Made on a budget of just £4.5m, the British film proved more popular than Russell Crowe's epic tale, reported to have cost upwards of $200m, and Disney's $150m blockbuster Prince of Persia.

It took £1.8m on its opening weekend, and a box office total of £2.4m when preview screenings are taken into account.

The film features Diversity, who beat Susan Boyle to the Britain's Got Talent crown last year, and 2008 winner George Sampson. It follows a London dance crew training for the UK Street Dance Championships, who are forced to work with ballet dancers in return for rehearsal space and end up joining forces.

Charlotte Rampling stars as the ballet teacher. The film has ben sold to almost 30 countries.

James Richardson, the producer, said: "The success of StreetDance 3D has far exceeded our expectations.

"The fact that an independent British film has beaten the US heavyweights just shows how well StreetDance 3D has connected with audiences across the country."

John Woodward, chief executive of the Lottery-funded UK Film Council, said: "It's another shining example of how Lottery funding can make all the difference in discovering and nurturing new creative talent in the UK."
